i didn't go to work today because i hate it.

sometimes i look at the side of yr face when
you are looking down and am struck by the color
of yr skin. how on days when we let it get just
a little hot inside and yr cheeks are rosy but
the rest like the lightest part of a peach.

when i let you go to bed without me everything
i do is rushed. i look at the clock and try
to hurry it all along. it shouldn't be such a
matter to be awake without you, but it is.
