last year i found a mint condition dinosaurs
twin sized sheet set while rummaging through
the linens bin at goodwill by the lb. they've
been sitting in a big black garbage bag in the
trunk of my car along with a charlie brown/peanuts
set and various granny sweaters since. it smells
thrifty back there. i'm thinking of cutting them
up and making silly summer dresses with them since
they remind me of friday nights lying belly down
on the living room floor next to my brother for
prime time viewing.
also, this:

goodwill by the lb has gone up from $1/lb to $1.08/lb
here. i thought i'd read that thrift stores were being
frequented more often in the flailing economy, so i'm
not quite sure i see the goodwill behind this move.
was it a necessary one? does goodwill need the extra $
to stay afloat or are they just preying on the more
pressing need for affordable wares in today's circumstances?
