this was a custom for an order - she wanted something
multicolored for her baby baby scarf. i liked the outcome
of the gold with the purple so much that i'm going to put
them in the shop full time. i hope you like them too - they
remind me so much of mardi gras!

i should take more care when photographing darker outfits - all
the detail gets lost if it's not the right time of day.

i'm trying to get rid of this stash of yarn we're
drowning in. literally one quarter of our computer
room is just a big stack of yarn.

i wanted to write a little, but instead i
made a cup of coffee and watched tele-
vision and gave myself a headache
because that's what coffee does to me
late at night. now m's ready for bed
and i am too, so instead here's photos
of pretty claire of mamushka marie in a
blue softspoken hooded cowl that i made
especially with her red locks in mind:

curry + ramen

i've been forgoing the ramen at the grocery store in favor of
ramen from our neighborhood's indian grocer. it's so much
more spicy and flavorful, plus i can pronounce all of the
ingredients. and for the same cheap price, it's become one
of my favorite quick and easy lunches.

i also really like the masala vegetable atta noodles, too:



earth fare has some interesting varieties as well,
and obviously i'm an instant ramen connoisseur
these days.

from old navy outlet, express jeans which i bought
years ago and are the best jeans i have in my closet,
thrifted boots and a pile of necklaces.




necklaces - the shortest and longest (with a vintage
whistle!) are from lemonjitters, the large chunky
crystal is from thevamoose, and the double chain
golden circles are thrifted.



these boots and this cardi are so easy to wear. they
instantly add a little extra to anything i throw on.

sneaky napper

she's really not supposed to be there though with the sun
coming in just right you can see how a basket full of yarn
would be hard to resist for a kitty. luckily it's just
full of yarn extras so i won't have to spend much
time lint rolling cat hair out of etsy orders which is never
any fun. the last photo is of the latest afghan i'm
working on to bring out some of the colors in our
newest quilt.
