taking a moment to give love to the true fighters and speakers, the defenders of freedom and voices of the silenced. love to the Catonsville Nine, the Hollywood Ten, the Gainseville Eight, the Chicago Seven and Bobby Seale, too. love to the Freedom Riders and the fallen young at Kent and Jackson State. love to you Bobby Kennedy, JFK, MLK Jr, Harvey Milk and Medgar Evers. love to the SDS, CORE, NOW, SLATE, the ACLU, NAACP and all the letters standing for freedom and justice. love to you Angela Davis, Huey P Newton, Mark Clark, Fred Hampton, and little Bobby Hutton. love to Roger Allen LaPorte and Norman Morrison and love to Norman Mailer, Edward Abbey, and Allen Ginsberg. love to Dick Gregory and Lenny Bruce and love to you Dennis Banks, Richard Oakes, Russell Means and Sacheen Littlefeather. to Betty Friedan, Eleanor Roosevelt, Gloria Steinem, and Shirley Chisolm - love. and love to the rest of the rousers and leaders and the crowds who followed - so many to name and so hard to leave off here. last year before my featured seller interview i had planned to put a whole slew of cotton totes in my shop, but completely got sidetracked when all the orders came pouring in. i think i only actually ever had this one listed. recently, while organizing my overwhelming yarn stash i came across all the cotton yarn i'd purchased with this and a summer granny blanket in mind at that time. so now, with stash-busting and beachy weekends in mind instead, here's the first in a new set of slouchy cotton totes.
